We are always looking for good tutors in all subjects and grade levels.  There is a particular demand for the following tutors:

• German 2/3:  Virginia Beach area  (11/4/07)
• High school/college level Math:  all areas  (10/4/07)
• SAT/ACT tutors:  all areas  (10/4/07).  Please include your SAT/ACT scores with your application.

Our goal is to provide qualified tutors to help students to achieve their best.  We attempt to match student availability and needs with tutors in their area.  Most of our tutors are currently certified, or have been certified to teach, and have several years' experience, but other qualifications are considered.  The minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree.

A Criminal History and Sex Offender Check is conducted on all tutors, unless you began employment with a Virginia school district after 1995, or have a copy of a completed police check.  A Criminal History and Sex Offender Check can be obtained from the Virginia State Police by going to the forms section of www.virginiatrooper.org and completing SP-167.  Your signature must be notarized as both the Subject and as the Requestor.  The State Police only charge $20 for this service.  A copy of the returned SP-167 is needed to complete your application.
